Dr. Kimberly Hooi is a veterinary small animal internist at our Boundary Bay Veterinary Specialty Hospital in Surrey, BC.

Dr. Hooi grew up in Sydney, Australia where she spent many summers enjoying the beach and outdoor spoils of Sydney. She attended veterinary school at the University of Sydney, then worked for a couple of years in general practice and private referral practice in Sydney before moving to Guelph, Ontario where she completed a rotating internship and internal medicine residency at the Ontario Veterinary College. Dr Hooi enjoys all aspects of internal medicine and the diagnostic challenge of this speciality; however her special interests include interventional radiology and interventional endoscopy, specifically urinary and respiratory minimally invasive procedures. She has taken additional courses and training in urinary tract interventional procedures and is looking forward to working with the radiology, surgery, cardiology and critical care teams to be able to offer these procedures as part of the internal medicine service at Boundary Bay. She is dedicated to ensuring that her patients and clients receive the best possible care by working closely with the client, referring veterinarian and other speciality services in the practice.
