What does it mean to be a VECCS Certified LEVEL 1 facility?

Distance matters when it comes to choosing the right emergency animal hospital for you, but as you weigh your options, remember that being a VECCS certified LEVEL 1 facility means that BBVSH has “met and exceeded the minimum standards and guidelines published by VECCS.”

What does it mean to be a VetCOT Provisional Trauma Center?

Whereas VECCS Facility Certification assesses a hospital’s staff credentials, physical resources, and operating hours and is administered by Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society), the VetCOT Veterinary Trauma Center (VTC) initiative recognizes veterinary specialty centers that exemplify the team-based approach to trauma care and is supported by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care. A VetCOT VTC must have a VECCS Facility Certification.
